Among the copper-clad laminates in which fiberglass is used as reinforcing material, CR4 CCL is most heat resistant which is modified and brominated with epoxy resins. With the up-gradation in the copper-clad laminates industry, paper-based reinforcing material is got replaced with fiberglass, and CR4 fiberglass copper clad laminates are the most widely used CCL's. Lead-free CCL: This type of copper-clad laminate has their surface mounted with lead-free solder. These types of laminates are free from brominated epoxy resins.
